Abkhazi Garden

A one-acre heritage garden hidden behind a hornbeam hedge in Fairfield, created from 1946 by Prince and Princess Abkhazi, who shaped it around glaciated rock outcrops and native Garry oaks for over 40 years. A community campaign saved it from townhouse development in 1999–2000, and The Land Conservancy has held it in perpetuity since.
