Government House Gardens

The 36-acre grounds of BC's vice-regal residence above Rockland: formal gardens, Garry oak woodland, ponds and harbour views, open to everyone every day of the year. It is the ceremonial home of all British Columbians, and on most days you will share it mainly with gardeners and locals walking dogs.

Free — The Lieutenant Governor's official site states: 'The grounds and gardens are open to the public 365 days a year, and are free to visit.' Guided house tours are also free but require pre-registration; parking in the Lower Lot is free.
