St. Ann's Academy National Historic Site

A former girls' school and convent run by the Sisters of St. Ann from 1871, now a national historic site owned by the Province. The restored 1858 chapel — Victoria's first Roman Catholic cathedral — and the Interpretive Centre open to the public on a varying monthly schedule published on the official site, and the heritage grounds are an oasis between downtown and Beacon Hill Park.
