⛔ Key restrictions in the operator’s own policyThe district supports the non-profit, community use of schools provided it does not impact school programs and activities; no space rate card is published on the district rentals pages (checked 2026-10-23). Schools are NOT available for business or commercial use, or for private functions (such as birthday parties, weddings, funerals) or for protests, political purposes or for purposes that, in the opinion of the Board, are controversial. Priority is given to non-profit, community groups that offer free to very low cost (less than $5 per session) programs to youth and are run by volunteers; all non-profit organizations must provide a certificate of incorporation under the Societies Act, and any group that charges a fee for service and is not an incorporated society is considered a business. The user in charge must be over 19 years of age and in attendance at all bookings; bookings must be arranged through the School Rentals Office, not the schools directly; the district does not accept requests less than 2 weeks prior to the first booking date. Subject to operational needs, schools are available October to May, 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weeknights and 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekends; schools are closed during school breaks and statutory holidays. Floor hockey is not permitted in elementary and middle school gyms. Terms and Conditions require the licensee to maintain Comprehensive General Liability Insurance in the amount of $2,000,000 inclusive per occurrence and provide an insurance certificate. School fields are booked by the Abbotsford Parks, Recreation and Culture Office - 604 859-3134.
