Use policy — as the operator publishes it
⛔ Key restrictions in the operator’s own policyDesignated large-group picnic sites are bookable May to September by permit, with booked groups having priority use 8 am–8 pm; small-group picnic areas are first-come and need no booking. Picnic applications for the following year are accepted starting February 1, and the full fee is payable on contract to confirm (Picnic Sites page). Commercial general liability insurance is required to rent any City facility. Alcohol can only be consumed responsibly in permitted areas of Burnaby parks or in pre-approved, designated beer gardens; drugs are not allowed anywhere on park property, and smoking (cigarettes, tobacco, cannabis, e-cigarettes and vapes) is not permitted in public parks. Approval is required for amplified sound (music, PA system at loud volume), for special equipment set-ups such as tents, stages and bouncy castles, and for food concessions/food trucks (food concessions also need Fraser Health approval or a health operating permit). Dogs are not allowed at picnic areas. Organized group use of sports fields requires an approved permit; sports-group allocation deadlines are November 1 (previous year) for spring/summer and April 1 for fall/winter, and special event/tournament applications are due October 31 (spring/summer) and March 31 (fall/winter) (Sports Fields page; Special Event application form).

How to read this listing. We checked — on the date shown — that this programme is real, publicly listed, and rents the spaces described, using the operator’s own pages. That’s a listing check, not an inspection and not a recommendation: we haven’t attended events there or verified insurance or licences. Prices, capacity and availability come from the operator’s own schedule and can change — confirm directly with the operator before you book or pay anything.
