📋 Good to know before you bookAll school facilities are public facilities available to the public on a rental basis provided school programs and activities are given priority (Book a Facility page). The City of Kamloops manages community bookings for Kamloops elementary school gyms and school fields on behalf of SD73; secondary school gyms, rural school gyms or fields, and other community rooms are booked through the district's online reservation system (eBase). Per Administrative Procedure 550 / 550.1: applications are reviewed in priority order — school programs; Thompson Rivers University education programs; municipal recreation and cultural programs; community youth groups such as Cubs, Scouts and Guides; community and recreational users; then commercial and private users — and 'The District does not actively compete with commercial and rental premises providers. When no other suitable facilities are available, the District may rent to private and commercial user groups' at prevailing commercial rates posted on the district website. Rental agreements are a minimum of two hours; applications require fourteen (14) calendar days notice. AP 550.1 regulations (June 2024) state all District facilities and grounds are smoke-, vape-, alcohol-, and cannabis-free, with alcohol service only on special request under AP 163 with the necessary permits; access may not be granted before 5:00 p.m. on regular school days and facilities must be vacated by 10:00 p.m. NO CURRENT RATE CARD WAS VERIFIED: the Book a Facility page lists 'Rental Rates 2025-2026 — Kamloops Community Rental Rates / Rural Community Rental Rates' and board minutes (June 30, 2025) confirm 2025-2026 community use rates rose 10% and were to be published on the district website, but the linked rate documents could not be opened when checked 2026-10-23; superseded schedules (2014/2015–2016/2017 legacy schedule; 2019–2022 board-approved schedule) were deliberately NOT used, so rateCard is empty rather than estimated.

How to read this listing. We checked — on the date shown — that this programme is real, publicly listed, and rents the spaces described, using the operator’s own pages. That’s a listing check, not an inspection and not a recommendation: we haven’t attended events there or verified insurance or licences. Prices, capacity and availability come from the operator’s own schedule and can change — confirm directly with the operator before you book or pay anything.
