📋 Good to know before you bookAn Outdoor Event Permit is required to host events on City property when City services are requested, any size event is held on City roadways, a liquor permit is applied for, over 1,000 people attend on private property, the event includes a business/organization activation or any public food or beverage service, or 350 or more people are expected (Plan an Outdoor Event page; Outdoor Events Bylaw 8358). Casual use (birthday parties, staff luncheons, family reunions, picnics) cannot be reserved — park space is animated under Casual Use Guidelines. Outdoor Event applications must be submitted a minimum of 60 days prior to the event; payment is due seven days in advance or when the permit is signed; events are classified A–D by size/impact (A: single day up to 500 people, no liquor licence; D: three or more days, more than 1500 people, multiple licensed areas) (Conditions of Use & Allocation Guidelines, Outdoor Events s. 2–3). Proof of insurance is required for all park bookings, with a damage deposit (minimum $300 at Waterfront Park); liquor consumption is restricted to designated parks (incl. Waterfront Park, Knox Mountain Park, City Park, Gyro Park, Rutland Centennial Park) with licensed hours 11:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m., service restricted to event participants, and the focus of the event cannot be on liquor service. All City of Kelowna parks are smokefree (Parks and Public Spaces Bylaw #6819-91). NOTE: all outdoor event fees are stated to be as outlined in the Active Living & Culture Fees and Charges Bylaw No. 9609, Schedule G, which is not reproduced with figures on the pages checked 2026-10-23 — no current park fee figures are published, so rateCard is empty.

How to read this listing. We checked — on the date shown — that this programme is real, publicly listed, and rents the spaces described, using the operator’s own pages. That’s a listing check, not an inspection and not a recommendation: we haven’t attended events there or verified insurance or licences. Prices, capacity and availability come from the operator’s own schedule and can change — confirm directly with the operator before you book or pay anything.
