⛔ Key restrictions in the operator’s own policyAfter-hours rental of district facilities to community groups (Facilities & Rentals page): rental requests for the 2026/27 school year are submitted by email to [email protected] at least 10 days prior to the event start date, with preferred time/days, start and end dates, preferred school or area of town, and the nature of the booking; payment is due in full at least one business day prior to the first scheduled session. Every licensee must carry general liability insurance of no less than $2,000,000 per occurrence, with the Board of Education of School District 68 named as an additional insured, and provide evidence of insurance before use. The district reserves the right to cancel individual rental incidences waiving the notice period for health and safety risks (power outages, inclement weather, emergent maintenance, capital loss events, school closures, health authority direction), with no charge to the renter for district emergency cancellations. The district's AP 522 update (Business Committee, October 11, 2023) records that community-use smoking policy includes cannabis and all vapour products (prohibited), secondary school kitchens are only available on a trial basis, and elementary half-gym rentals are no longer available. NO RATE CARD WAS VERIFIED: the Facilities page links a 'Rental Fees' document, but the district site's document viewer returned unrelated content when it was opened on 2026-10-23, and the only figures found were in the 2023 board information sheet proposing revised AP 522 rates — not a published rate card — so rateCard is empty rather than estimated.
