Use policy — as the operator publishes it
⛔ Key restrictions in the operator’s own policyA permit is required to reserve a designated picnic site; non-designated locations require a completed special event application to [email protected] (Picnics page). Under the Parks Control By-law, no person may operate an amplifying system or loud speaker, hold a gathering/meeting, or erect a tent/structure in a park without the written permission of the General Manager first had and obtained. Special-event approval tiers (Park Board Special Events policy): no permit required under 50 people with shared space and no setup/structures/PA; staff approval up to 1,000 people; Board approval over 1,000 people or for gated/admission events, liquor requests outside policy, or extensive setup. Alcohol: staff can approve special occasion licensed areas only when the sale of alcohol is supplemental to the event, the event is not in a mini or neighbourhood park, minors are not the prime focus, the operator is a community service organization using profits for its activities, hours parallel the event or run noon–9:30 p.m., and an approved security plan is in place. New major special events must be applied for six months in advance. Picnic fees are per time slot, exclude tax, and are due at booking; most picnic sites have no electric outlets, and inflatables/food trucks are prohibited except where a permit and authorization allow them (site-by-site on the Picnics page).

How to read this listing. We checked — on the date shown — that this programme is real, publicly listed, and rents the spaces described, using the operator’s own pages. That’s a listing check, not an inspection and not a recommendation: we haven’t attended events there or verified insurance or licences. Prices, capacity and availability come from the operator’s own schedule and can change — confirm directly with the operator before you book or pay anything.
